Mynydd y Gelli

Near Ferndale there is a location that is regarded by some as a “Rhondda Stonehenge”, that is found at a bronze-age burial site. Holland believes that it lies on Mynydd y Gelli and Llwynypia.

The site was the scene of a ghostly encounter in the early years of the 19th century. Ghosts of ancient warriors were seen and heard in battle.
